![]() ![]() It is a "PWM" fault, but won't set a light or cause any issues. Promptly found DTC codes "64" and "83" set. Ended up downloading an operater's manual. ![]() Installed without problem in my Vista OS laptop. Received the AKM USB cable and Datamaster software yesterday. ![]() Now I've got two Cadillac coil packs and modules that are probably worthless. The engine is getting on in age, and I need to pull the subframe, fix an intake manifold oil leak, and do some other stuff.but I'd like to read the codes before pulling the engine.Īlmost bought one of the Delteq Cadillac ignition conversion kits, but Delteq appears to be out of business. Bet the guys who checked that core are still wondering what happened. Believe it or not, it actually restarted with half a starter. It did that and I stupidly hit the starter again.big mistake. For several years the thing will, very rarely, start and run backwards. Bad enough to backfire once when starting the engine and it broke the starter into tiny pieces. ![]() It still runs great most of the time.but occasionally will backfire when it's been driven a short distance and shut off, then restarted. It might be advising me to change the oil.this light has never come on before (the red CEL works, but isn't lit) and I've been driving the thing for 10 years. The "Service Engine." light is coming on. But, the dash has both a red "CEL" and a "Service Engine Soon" light. I know that the Optispark is taking a crap, and that might be part of my issue. The ALDL is connected to the 9C1 ECM.Īnother thing, AutoZone and such cannot (will not?) read OBD 1 anymore. Like to have something that could be loaded into a laptop.? But whatever works too. Checked with several units that are listed for '94 OBD 1, but they are no longer available. Looking for something to read ECM codes on a '94 (late '94 9C1/LT4). ![]()
